Services for Darrel Don Schmidt, 70, Enid, will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at       2:00 p.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Kelly Cronkhite officiating.  Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
Darrel was born on August 13, 1946 in Fairview, Oklahoma, the son of David and Hattie Wedel Schmidt, and passed away  on September 20, 2016 at his residence. He was raised in Isabella and, at an early age, started a career in carpentry.  Darrel was one of the best carpenter/home builder’s in the Enid area.  He founded Trico Builders in Enid and developed areas of Major County and  later in Garfield County.  Darrel retired in 2010.  He was a member of the Christian Faith and loved to play the guitar.  Survivors include sons, Dustin Ray Schmidt of Arlington, Texas; Joshua and wife, Rachel Schmidt of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Kema and Husband, Richard Schram of Enid; grandchildren, Kyle Schram, Jaden Schram, Jordan Schram, Sebastian Schmidt, Sasha Schmidt, Alexis Washington and Cassidy Schmidt; sister, Twila Becker of Mound Ridge, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews.   Darrel was preceded in passing by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.  Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
