Geraldine Willis (Yandell) Backus

Celebration of life services for Geraldine Willis Backus, 71, Ponca City resident, will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Full Gospel Assembly Church with  Lewis Bernard officiating.  Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Geraldine was born on January 28 1947 in Fairfax, Oklahoma, the daughter of Artis and Juanita Liddle Yandell, and passed away on March 2, 2018 in Ponca City. She was raised and educated in Fairfax,  graduating from Fairfax High School with the class of 1965. Geraldine married Roy Lee Backus.  He passed away in 2001. Geraldine worked for Titus for many years.  She moved to Fairfax where she worked for Munsingwear.  Survivors include sons, Craig Backus of Ponca City, Christopher Backus Ponca City;   Two Grandchildren; sisters, Linda Gibson of Ponca City, Sue Trant of Ponca City, Marie Shook of Fairfax, Betty Crenshaw of Fairfax;  Mother, Juanita Yandell of Fairfax.  Geraldine was preceded in passing by her husband and father.
