Celebration of life services for Jackie Don Taber, 76, Enid, will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Garry McNeill officiating. Military honors will be coordinated by the United States Army.  Committal prayers and interment will be held in the spring at Ft. Smith National Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Jackie was born on March 31, 1941 in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of James Clifford and Dorothy Pauline Tinder Taber, and passed away peacefully on November 22, 2017 in Enid.  He was raised in Missouri and Kansas.  Jackie served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961.  Jackie married Carol McDaniel.  To this union, four children were born, John, Jackie Don, Jr., Andrew and Paula Bea.  He was a lifetime truck driver, retiring in 2005.  Jackie married Judy Simkins. To this union, four children were united, Jerry Nooner, Donald (Blue), Jacob and J.C. Taber  Jackie returned to Enid in 2005.  Survivors include sons, John Rogers of Eldorado, Kansas. Andrew Rogers of Fontana, California, Don Taber of Conway, Arkansas, Jacob Taber of Alexander, Arkansas,   J.C.  Taber of Conway, Arkansas, Jerry Nooner of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Paula Tomassian of Riverside, California; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Taber of Enid; and his “Double Ex Wife" Judy Taber of Conway, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in passing by his parents, brother, Jerry Dean, son, Jackie, Jr.and Jackie’s first wife Carol.  The family has selected Relay For Life or American Cancer Society as appropriate for memorial contributions.  Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
