Judith Murdock, age 76, peacefully passed from this life to be united with her Lord and Savior whom she loved and served, on April 12, 2017.

She was the youngest daughter of F.L. and Opel (Mineo) Murdock, of Tulsa, who preceded her in death. She will be missed dearly by her brother F. Lee Murdock of Edmonton, Alberta Canada, and her sister, Marilyn M. Chalk of Oklahoma City. She was the loving aunt to her nephew Greg and wife Bettye, nieces Tracy and Teresa, great nieces Brittany and husband Andrew, Hailey, Meagan, Shelby and Emily, and one great-great niece, Autumn.

Judy led a full life doing the things that made her happy. She moved to Southern California with her best friend straight out of high school, in her convertible no less. When she bored of the sunshine, she packed her bags and headed for Seattle. She even spent time in Dallas before returning home to Tulsa to settle down. She got her Bachelor’s degree at TU, and earned her Master’s from there as well. She found her passion in teaching, earning Teacher of the Year at Union Peters Elementary in 1988. She also taught and served on the board of directors at Little Light House.  She loved her students, and they loved her in return. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling. She also became a serious gardener, even taking courses and becoming a volunteer at The Linnaeus Garden.

Of all the things she was devoted to, Redeemer Covenant Church was among her most cherished. She was a charter member of the congregation, spending many years loving the people and their mission.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Thursday April 20, 2017 at Redeemer Covenant Church (5415 E. 101st Street Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137) at 2:00pm.  Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com
