Larry Lee Coonrod, 68, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, went to sleep in death on Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a brief illness

Larry was born July 20, 1948 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Ruth B. and Irvin Coonrod. He grew up and was educated in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado, with his fondest memories being of Colorado.

Larry was a master craftsman who made a living as a carpenter but excelled at all his varied interests.

Larry married Jean Horne Denison on January 30, 1981. Together they raised their children Joel and Joanna.

Larry is survived by his wife Jean; son Joel Denison and family Sallie, Kinsey, Hayden, & Micah, as well as Joel's stepdaughter Tristan; daughter Joanna Bouchard and husband Damon, and their sons Steven & Daniel. Larry is also survived by his mother, Ruth; brothers Wes and Bill; two aunts and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fireside room of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ave., Ponca City, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
