Celebration of life services for Larry Ross “Larry” Farris, 80, Enid resident,will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel. Larry was born on June 19, 1937 to Nathaniel “Nat” and Mary Hettie (Digby) Farris at their home near Taloga, Oklahoma in Dewey County, and passed away peacefully on January 15, 2018 in Enid.  He was the youngest of nine children.  He was raised in Dewey County, attending school in Seiling and Taloga.  Larry joined the United States Air Force before graduating from high school; but later earned his diploma while still in service.  Larry spent most of his life in several different fields of employment including sales of automobiles and appliances.  In later years, after being disabled by a fall, he had his own business doing home repairs.  Larry was called “Mr Fix It.”  He was married to Mary Sue Martin in Sentinel, Oklahoma and three children were born to the couple.  Larry later married Emily on May 23, 2000 in Enid, Oklahoma where they made their home.  He has resided in an Enid nursing home for several years after he became unable to work or care for himself.  Larry was preceded in passing by his parents, brothers, William Loyd Farris, Jim W. Farris, Raymond Ray Farris, Morris Lee Farris, Bobby Leon Farris, sisters, Elizabeth J. (Farris) Holsapple, Mary Madeline (Farris) Titus, and grandson G age Boehm.  Survivors include Larry’s wife, Emily of the residence and her children in the Philippines, 2 daughters, one son and nine grandchildren;  his children, Terri Boehm, Chris Farris, Misty Clifton and Clarece Farris- Burgess (From his marriage to Carolyn Jo Bennett in Enid, Oklahoma); eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and sister Emma.  Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
