Maria Helena Giffin of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away in her home in Enid on January 16th, 2018.

Maria is survived by her children, Logan Giffin and Gavin Harbor, of Enid, OK; her parents, John Henry Cobb and Barbara Ann Cobb of Muskegon, Michigan; three step-sisters; Linsy Cobb-McGowan, of Wisconsin, Samantha Guriegian and husband, Matt of Michigan, Shawna Bartczak and husband Tony of Michigan, and half-brother, Henry Cobb, of Wisconsin. Maria is also survived by her biological siblings; Jamie Hardwick, Ramon Guzman, Vincent Guzman, Raquel Hardwick, and Lillie Veliquez, all of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Christine Hardwick and grandparents, Ronald and Jean Lampman.

Maria was born on May 30, 1978 in Muskegon, Michigan to Christine Hardwick, and was soon adopted by Barbara and Barry Giffin. Although Maria struggled with various things throughout her life, she always kept a positive outlook. Her friends and family will tell you that she had a sweet personality and always offered a smile to anyone she met. Maria loved to take of others, as she had various jobs taking care of people through the years. Maria loved her boys more than anything in the world. Maria attended Your Family Church with her children and Maine Nazarene Church. On January 25, 2017, Maria shared her testimony and love for the Lord.

A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24th, at Your Family Church, 1301 N. Independence, Enid, OK. Pastor Rick Dominic and Pastor Tom Pullin will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Maria’s life. The family has selected memorial donation checks be made payable to David Bingham for Maria's children's educational fund.
