Funeral services for Mary Ann Long, 88, Ponca City resident, will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Central Baptist Church with Pastor John Waterloo officiating.  Committal prayers and interment will follow next to Red  in I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.  Visitation with the family present will be held on Monday, December 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church. 
Mary Ann was born on January 26, 1928 in Ralston, Oklahoma, the daughter of Carl and Rosalie Lampe Robinson, and passed away peacefully on November 30, 2016 at her residence.  At the age of three, the family moved to Chandler where they lived until she was 15, at which time they moved to Ponca City.  Mary Ann went from a two room school house to the present Ponca City High School.  In 1946, she took a job at the Roxie Theater, Downtown.  Her boss was O.F. “Red” Vinyard.  They married on June 18, 1947 and to this union were born three children, Mike, Marty, and Martha.  Mary Ann went back to work in 1974; one of her favorite jobs was checking groceries at Miller’s Market where she worked for several years.  Mary Ann very much enjoyed visiting with all her customers.   She later worked for Home National Bank, where she retired.  Red passed away on July 13, 1998 and Mary Ann married David Long in 1999, until his death on September 5, 2000.  Then, until his death in June of 2012, Mary Ann enjoyedd the company of her special friend, Slim Shelton.   Surviving Mary Ann are sons, Mike Vinyard and wife Diane of Olathe, Kansas; Marty Vinyard of Ponca City, and daughter, Martha Acton also of Ponca City; sister, JoAnn Noble of Midland, Texas; granddaughters, RAchael Vinyard and Emily Vinyard, and sisters-in-law, Carla Vinyard of Renton, Washington, and Shirley Bailey of Seattle, Washington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Mary Ann was preceded in passing by her parents, her son-in-law, Kim Acton and her husband Red.
