Norma was born on January 9, 1930 in Garber, Oklahoma, the daughter of Otto and Clara Hauser Meier, and passed away peacefully on April 25, 2017 in Enid.
Norma Jean Meier Wilcox went to her heavenly home on April 25, 2017 in Enid.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Garber with Pastor Kenneth E. Wade officiating.  committal prayers and interment will follow in Garber Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family present will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Stittsworth’s.
Norma was born at her paternal grandparents home in Garber, Oklahoma.  She attended and graduated from the eighth grade at Eureka Neighborhood School in Hunter, Oklahoma.  Norma then attended Hunter High School her freshman and sophomore years and Garber High School her junior and senior years where she graduated in 1948.  On January 16, 1951, Norma married Sherman Wilcox at Garber Immanuel Lutheran Church.  They moved to California where Sherman was stationed in the United States Marine Corps for the next six years.  They moved back to the Garber area with their children Patricia and William.  Norma and Sherman Wilcox were married 63 years and Norma was a life long member of Garber Immanuel Lutheran Church. Norma loved being outside, mowing, farming, raising huge gardens, fishing and camping.  
Norma is survived by her sister, Vera Cramer of Mound Valley, Kansas; Daughters, Patricia and Bill Berry, Elizabeth Campbell, all of Garber and Normlyn Hanes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Kristina Gilpin, Angela McCleave, Patrice Jarrett, William and Justin Wilcox, Tiffiny and Brandon McConnell, Sam and Madison Campbell, Dustin Campbell, Wes Campbell, Macy Hanes; Thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces,nephews, family and friends.  Norma was preceded in this life by her parents, husband Sherman Wilcox, son William Wilcox, sisters, Golda Cramer and Delories Kitterman, brothers, Donald Meier and Ray Dean Meier, son-in-laws, Captain Glen Scott Porter and Weston Campbell.  Norma loved cooking big meals and having family and friends gathered together.  Donations can be made to Hospice, Circle of Love or to the donor’s choosing with Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service serving as custodian of the fund.
