Robert Lee Mitchell passed away Sunday afternoon October 16,  2016 at his home in Tonkawa at the age of 72.    Robert was born on November 19, 1943 in Wichita, KS.  The son of Loyd and Mabel Shreck Mitchell he attended Blackwell public schools and graduated in 1962.  He furthered his education at OSU tech in Okmulgee with a degree in HVAC technology, which led him to Missouri and various cities throughout Oklahoma including working at the Blackwell smelter and Northern Oklahoma College.  He enjoyed fishing and camping throughout Missouri and Oklahoma as well as loved early country music with one of favorites being Hank Williams Sr. Robert is survived by his daughter Teri Mitchell Hall, son Mark Mitchell and wife Terri.  4 grandchildren: Bryan Micheal Mitchell, Jared Allen Mitchell, Jennifer Nicole Mitchell, Kristen Elizabeth Parker and husband Shane.  Also a brother Danny Joe Mitchell and wife Helen. Preceded in death by parents, grandparents, and grandson Tyler Travis Hall and a brother Pete Noonan.
Robert will be cremated and a private family service at a later date.   In lieu of flowers family requests donations to be made in grandson Tylers memory to the Children's Miracle Network. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
