Skeeter Niethamer Obituary

 

 

Glenn (Skeeter) Niethamer

Jan 5, 1935 – April 10, 2018

 

     Skeeter Niethamer was born January 5, 1935 in Manchester Oklahoma Son of John William & Laura M. (White) Niethamer.  He Graduated from Manchester High School in 1953.

     He enlisted in the US Navy & served his country for 4 years with an Honorable Discharge.  He said he loved his time in the Navy & would not trade it for anything.

     On May 31, 1963 Skeeter was united in marriage to Kay Rader in Alva, Okla.  This union was blessed with 4 children:  Debbie Dawn, Terry Glenn, Tonya Kay and John William.

     Skeeter went to work out of the Navy for the State Line Grain Co.  Where he worked for 40 years before retiring.  He loved his job at the coop and loved working for all his farmer friends.

     Skeeter was a friend to any.  He really enjoyed fishing & hunting.  He gave up the hunting because he started having trouble walking but never gave up fishing.

     April 10th Skeeter passed away in his home at the age of 83 years.  He was preceded in death by parents:  Son Terry Glenn, Sister Frances, Brother John Lee, Brother Donald and Sister Klonda (Jefferis) Riley.  He will be deeply missed by Wife Kay Niethamer of the home in Manchester, Daughters Debbie Mitchell and Jim of Arkansas City, Ks.  Tonya Hummer and companion John Meyer of Manchester and Son John Niethamer and wife Mendy of Wakita, Ok., also 9 Grand Children, 8 Great Grand Children, 1 Great Great Grand Daughter Sophia Rose, Several Nieces and Nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
