Barbara White Obituary

Celebrating the Life of

“Barbara Jean White”

Barbara was born February 18th 1939 to Jack and Mary Elizabeth (Carter) Anderson in Ponca City, Oklahoma. And passed away June 2nd 2019. She lived in Ponca City her entire life, graduating from Po-Hi in 1957. That same year she met and married George N. White and their love would last until his passing in 2012. They had one son Dwayne and one daughter Susan who died in infancy.

Barbara held varies jobs from carhop to dept. stores, and retired from Titus manufacturing after 20 years as a welder, afterwards she spent her time loving and taking care for the love of her life. She loved spending time with her family and playing games with her grandchildren, and going to the casino. She loved to cook and no one ever left hungry. Barbara is survived by her son and his wife Dwayne and Sharon White, four granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.

Misty White (Stephanie Sims, Matthew Richardson), Summer (White) Gaytan and John Gaytan (Alex Gaytan, Zayne Gaytan), Amber White (Sierra White, Shelby Garrison) Sunshine (White) Bell and James Bell (Chloe White, George Bell)

And one brother Michael Anderson. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband George N. White, infant daughter Susan White, her parents Jack (JW) Anderson and Mary Elizabeth (carter) Anderson. Also her brothers JR Anderson, Donald Anderson Sr., Jackie Anderson, and sister Delores (Anderson) Atwood and stepsister Earla Merrideth and stepmother Maedell Anderson.

Barbara will be missed by all who knew her and her loving heart and generosity. She had a fighting spirit for all who knew her could attest to. She helped build a home with her husband and welcomed all to come in. Now she is at rest and may God hold her in his loving arms. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in the Hope Chapel at I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Dr. Bob Ryan officiating.  Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.  Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
