Chestine J Keener went to meet his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  He was 85 years old.  Chet, known as Chief to his family, was born in Cherokee County, Oklahoma to his parents, Josephine (Dick) and Daniel Keener. He attended Sequoyah Indian School near Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  He served in the Oklahoma National Guard during the Korean War.  Chet worked for Marathon Trucking Company for 25 years and retired in 1995.  He married Susie Johnson in 1960 in Canton, Ohio and remained there until her passing in 2001.  As a widower he returned to Oklahoma and married Dolly Means. Chet is Survived by his wife Dolly, eleven stepchildren, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service to be announced at a later date.
