Deborah June Holden: April 24, 1951-December 29, 2019
Deborah June Holden left this earth to join her Heavenly Father on the evening of December 29, 2019 after a long-fought battle of cancer. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 2nd, 11 am at the Braman Methodist Church, followed by a brief graveside service at the Braman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Curl, Patrick Curl, Mike Barton, Rick Grell, John Smith and Rocky Wood. Deborah requested that everyone be casual for the service, specifically asking that blue jeans to be worn. Deborah June Holden was born on April 24, 1951 in Kaw City, OK to Wynona Jenkins, who raised her with John Shaw (Deborah’s step-dad) in Pond Creek, OK. She graduated from Pond Creek-Hunter High School in 1969 and married the love of her life that same year. She and John Edward Holden were joined in marriage on October 18, 1969 at the Pond Creek Baptist Church. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year surrounded by family and friends. During their 50 years of marriage, Deborah gave birth to 6 children, who then blessed her with 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. All of whom were with her during her last few days here on earth. Deborah was preceded in death by her step-dad John Shaw. Deborah is survived by her mother, Wynona Jenkins; her spouse, John Edward Holden; her 6 children: Laura Waite and spouse Richard, John Holden, Jr. and spouse Kimberly, David Holden and spouse Lea, Chris Holden, Andy Holden, Alan Holden and spouse Megan; 15 grandchildren: Jeramy Gildhouse, Kayla Bess and spouse Cody, Kendall Waite, Cory Waite, Tristan Holden, Austin Holden and spouse Tessa, Megan Holden, Hadley Holden, Emma Holden, Aiyanna LeClair, Kiara LeClair, Makena Holden, Karsyn Holden, Aella Holden, and Connor Holden; 4 great-grandchildren: Preston Jones, Kaydon Gildhouse, Brittany Holden, and Olivia Holden; several siblings, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
