I had the pleasure of coaching against Don. The Ponca East girls basketball team was truly blessed to have had such a fine man as their coach. We, Waller Junior High, had some outstanding games. Fierce competition, but always with such class. Last spoke with Don at OBA in Enid when he drove the Ponca High School volleyball team. Loved the looks on the faces of those Ponca players when they saw these two old guys hugging. I was so blessed to have know Don. My greatest sympathy for you all at his passing.

God bless Mr. Lambring and his family. He was one of my teachers when I was at East Junior High, and I remember he always made learning fun. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was his student. He was a great teacher and a good role model for his students! Prayers for the family 💕😇

Sharla,

We have been away from home for awhile and just tonight I saw the A.C. News on_line. My heart aches for you.

I knew Don from East Jr High School and years later seeing him at Goofs Field. He was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed visiting with him. Don will be missed dearly by so many. Thoughts and prayers are said during this heartfelt time.

I'm so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was my basketball coach at East many years ago and still recognized me a few years ago. I will be praying for peace and comfort for Sharla and the girls.

My sincere condolences to your entire family and friends. "Mr. Lambring" was my coach the first year a girls' team was ' allowed' at ' East'...when I don't think it was too popular to take on such a feat. He took the time to help me learn the game and personally taught me how to successfully shoot a jump shot. I learned a lot from him through his example of sticking to commitments in life. He had an impact in my life that I still carry to this day. Thank you Coach Lambring. Prayers for you all at this painful time.

My sincere sympathy to Don's family and friends. Don always did more than the minimum required to help the members of GOOFS. He would be the first to greet new visitors at the field. He will be sorely missed.
