Earnest Shelby Forshee, 89, Waukomis, was born on April 30, 1928 in St. James, Arkansas, the  son of Severe Clark and Effie Jane Lindsey Forshee, and passed away peacefully on December 21, 2017 in Hennessey.  He was raised and educated in St. James and in 1948, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in Greenland.  After his honorable discharge, Earnest returned to St. James.  He moved to Molene, Illinois, where he met and married Verla Mae Crawford.  They lived in Molene until 1960 and moved to Belle Plain, Kansas, and in 1965, they returned to Molene.  In 1975, they moved to Enid.  Earnest was a welder for Speedstar, later Failings, retiring in 1992.  Earnest was a Scottish Rite from Belle Plains, a Mason for over 54 years.  He was affiliated with Evangel Assembly of God Church.  Survivors include, daughters, Sandy Barton of Waukomis, and Jeanine Chattam of Enid;  sons, Tim Forshee of Enid, Mike Forshee of Pratt, Kansas, and Ron Forshee of Enid; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Forshee of Cave City, Arkansas; sisters, Earnestine Ford of St. James, Arkansas, and Glenna Faye Martin of Mountain View, Arkansas.  Earnest was preceded in passing by his parents, wife, Verla, grandson, Brian Barton, three brothers and two sisters.
