Services for John Michael Campbell, 68, Enid resident, will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Dr. Richard Dunn officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
John Michael Campbell was born on December 5, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Faye and Ruth Campbell, and passed away peacefully on September 24, 2018 at his residence. He attended the Enid School System and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1967. John attended college in Dallas, Texas, enlisting in the United States Navy in 1968. He served two tours in Vietman. He went on to further his career in the Navy intelligencee and completed training with the Central Intelligence Agency and also with Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. John traveled the world and spoke highly of his trips abroad, including Russia and Italy, and spoke highly of his airplane photo archives. He was an accomplished photographer, and wrote several books. John retired from Tinker Air Force Base, having completed 27 years of service. He was married several times and will be missed by son, Doug Nakvinda and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
