John Francis Coffman
John Francis Coffman, 81 years old, was born to Charles and Catherine Baustert Coffman on May 19, 1937 in Ponca City, Okla. He attended St. Mary’s school, graduating there in 1955. He attended St. Gregory’s College before entering the USAF in December of 1955. He retired from the Air Force in December of 1975. John had an exceptional career in the Air Force as
a Master Electrician and Mechanical Technician. He worked on the B-36 aircraft, B-52 aircraft, Thor missile weapons system, Atlas missile weapons system and the Minuteman Missile
weapons system. After retirement, his many jobs included H.C. Price Company in Bartlesville, Huffy’s Conoco car wash and the Presbyterian church. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Kathy Jo of 34 years; his children Michael (Lisa), Steven Douglas; David (Dawn), John, Charles (Bridgette), Shelli (Richie) Hutson and Steven (Jennifer) Hooker; and his beloved grandchildren Dylan Barabasz (Megan); great-grandchildren Mason, Maddox and one on the way, Shelbie Hutson, Steven Matthew Hooker, Coby Hutson, Adison Coffman, Danielle Hooker, Eden Coffman, Tristen Hutson and Aislyn Coffman. He is survived by his two brothers, Richard (Karen) and Tim (Jen) and families. His parents and brother Melvin Coffman preceded him in death. His cremation was lovingly in the hands of Amy Stittsworth out of Enid. The funeral will be at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Valerie Austin and the Reverend Robert Montgomery officiating.
