John Joseph Rhea passed from this life May 17, 2018 in his home after a short time battling cancer.
John was born June 10, 1954 to Robert E. Rhea and Ruby M Rhea (Prouty), John graduated from Ponca City High School where he met and married Brenda Barton, they had one daughter Kristina Rhea (Malcom), he later married Ginny Moneymaker they had three sons Jason, Justin & Adam Rhea.
As a young man he worked as a carpenter building churches. He later worked at Titus as a machinist for 21 years. John took great pride in his work there.
John loved to go hunting and fishing, his fondest memories were when he would go deer hunting with dad and brothers in Wisconsin. John loved spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews at family gatherings
John had 9 siblings, Carolyn (Delaney), Robert, Pamela (Palmer-Tayrien), Larry, Jean, Mike, Timothy, Becky Rhea and Richard Horinek.
John was proceeded in passing by his father Robert E. Rhea, step mother Maxine brother Robert C. Rhea, infant son Justin, step-father’s, Arnold Horinek and Frank K. Prouty.
A grave side service will be held at the Odd Fellows Cemetery Ponca City on Monday May 21st at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplain Tom Howard officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
