Linda Jo (Lane) Kerr

Linda Jo Lane was born to Leroy and Wilma Lane on Febuary 2,1944 in Woodward,OK.  She lived her early years in Stockton CA. until the family moved back to their hometown of Buffalo OK in 1958.  She married Howard Cockrum on June 28, 1959 and they had 3 children, Robin, Robert and Rhonda.  They raised their family in Enid,OK. where their daughter Rhonda passed away at the young age of nine.  Linda was a homemaker while her children were growing up. After her children were grown with families of their own, she attended college and obtained her nursing degree, becoming a RN at the age of 50.  She moved to Texas shortly after she obtained her nursing degree and worked for 20 years until she retired at the age of 70.   Linda served the Lord by serving others her entire life. She had a giving spirit and helped anyone that was in need.  She loved her family,  music, Church, holiday gatherings, cooking, gardening, her pets and was a devoted mother,grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.  Linda went home to be with the Lord and her daughter Rhonda the evening of July 2, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family and friend.  She is survived by her daughter Robin Springer, Enid, son Robert and wife Sharla Cockrum, Waukomis, six grandchildren Joshua Springer, Adrian Janzen,and Jeffrey Springer all of Enid, Stephen and wife Sadie Cockrum, Cherokee, Whitney and husband Micah McCracken , Minot North Dakota, Lindsay and husband Adam Hinojosa, Waukomis, and nine great grandchildren , five sisters Cheryl Scott, Enid, Beverly Lane, Buffalo,OK, Pam Singer, Enid, Teresa Lane, Enid,  Marilyn and husband Tom Johnstone, Panhandle, TX and one brother Richard and wife Laura Lane, Woodward, and a host of nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Wilma Lane, her daughter Rhonda and sister Donna Rhines.  Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
