Max Wooderson Obituary

Max Eugene Wooderson,( Woody) age 59, died October 28th, 2019 at his home in Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Max was born April 5th, 1960 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Harold and Mary Ellen Wooderson. He attended Blackwell High School and continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater , Oklahoma. He graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics. After graduation, Max became a co-founder of Wooderson Farms along with his Dad and brother, Bruce. He married Gina Wilson on April 2nd, 1983 with whom they have 2 children, Lauren and Blaine. Max was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, The Oklahoma Cattleman’s Association, and The Elks Lodge. He also served as a Kay County Cattleman’s President. His interest included his Family, hunting, fishing, working with cattle, smoking meats, and playing games. Max had a special place in his heart for his dogs! He is survived by his wife Gina, daughter Lauren, son Blaine , daughter-in-law to be Rachael Overton, granddaughter Rhemi Rae Wooderson, his mother, Mary Ellen Wooderson, sister Marcia and husband Mark Lott, brother Bruce and wife Tamela Wooderson, and sister Brenda Wooderson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Wooderson. Celebration of life services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Blackwell Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Koch officiating.  Arrangements are under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blackwell Animal Hospital / Animal Shelter.
