Michael Denoya Obituary

Michael E. DeNoya, longtime Ponca City resident, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with his children by his side.  He was born October 19, 1947, in Ponca City, the son of the late Louis J and Betty (Tedlock) DeNoya.

Michael attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School and graduated in 1965.  He was a military veteran and the owner of Mike’s Mechanics.  He loved being at the lake skiing or playing with boats and building and driving hot rods.  He was always up for good automotive conversation and a good beer most evenings.

He is survived by his daughter, Lori and husband Jeff Taylor of Morris, and son, Michael DeNoya, Jr and fiancée, LeAnn Britton of Ponca City and three brothers, Jay DeNoya and wife, LaDonna of Ponca City, Lee DeNoya of Salt Lake City, UT, and Ted DeNoya of Mountville, PA.  He has four grandchildren Chase Howard and wife, Amanda; Dalton Howard and wife, Courtney; Curtis Taylor and wife, Sarah; and Megan Lickliter.  He also has four great grandchildren Mahiya, Carley, Aliza, and Reme and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Clement “Dean” DeNoya, and nephew, Matthew DeNoya. 

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Carson Krittenbrink as Celebrant. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army.  Arrangements are entrusted to Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors, Enid.  Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
