Zelpha Elane (Gibson) Skaggs

Celebration of life services for Zelpha Elane Skaggs, 67, Enid resident, will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Chuck Kearney officiating. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Zelpha was born on August 3, 1952 in Enid, the daughter of Ben and Mildred Gibson, and passed away peacefully on September 9, 2019 at her residence. She was raised in the Enid and Pond Creek Area. Zelpha’s passion was cooking. She worked Yearick’s Country Kitchen, Palace Bingo, Buy Rite Grocery Store, Braum’s, Eileen’s Cafe. Zelpha married Earl F. Skaggs. Later, she married Jim Black. Jim preceded her in passing. Zelpha was affiliated with First Christian Church of Pond Creek. Survivors include son, Buddy and Kalyn Skaggs of Stillwater; daughters, Tammie and Shaun Nokes of Enid, Shelly Skaggs, Earlene and David Gose of Enid; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma Gibson, Sheryl Brittain, Louise Baker, Debbie Spoonmore, Christal Kesler, Patricia Eastes.
