Alvin Loy Rollins Jr., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at his home in Sumner, Okla. He was born on Aug. 15, 1969, the son of Alvin and Freida Rollins in Ponca City.

Alvin grew up in Apperson and attended Burbank Elementary School and graduated from Shidler High School. He then attended Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee where he graduated in 1990 with an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering Technology. On Aug. 22, 2008, he married his loving wife Tracy in Branson, Mo. He worked for the City of Kaw City for 23 years in the city maintenance department, with the majority of time spent as maintenance supervisor. He then worked for the City of Stillwater, in the water dept. He was also a fireman and EMT with the Kaw City Volunteer Fire Department for 13 years. He will be remembered for his big smile and kind heart. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother and friend. He loved his family and his favorite thing was to spend time with them, he loved the outdoors and held a black belt degree in Taekwondo. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Tracy and son Brayden, of Sumner, Okla.; his parents, Alvin and Freida, of Apperson; brother, Randy Rollins and his wife Kanchana and their children Lilly and Logan, of San Antonio, Texas; step-sons, Richard Figer, of Stillwater and Sam Lionelli, of Ponca City; step-son and step-daughter, of Ponca City; seven step-grandkids, several uncles, aunts and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 23, at Sumner Baptist Church. Cards may be sent in c/o Sumner Baptist Church, 20050 County Rd. 200, Perry, OK 73077.
