Arno Blanchard Obituary

Funeral Services for Arno Lee Blanchard, 81, Enid resident, will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm in The House of Prayer with Pastor Tony Hays officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Lee was born on July 15, 1938 in Cherokee, Oklahoma, the son of Gustave and Inez (Dorr) Blanchard, and passed away peacefully on May 14, 2020 at his residence.

Lee was raised and educated in Jefferson, graduating from Jefferson High School with the class of 1957. Lee enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country four years, later serving inactive reserves for two years. He married Connie Lauck in 1961. To this union, four children, David, Daniel, Dawn, and Dale. They lived in Virginia until 1977, when they moved to Medford, Oklahoma. Lee worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, operator and also was a farmer. He married Darlene in October of 1986 in Enid. Lee was affiliated with House of Prayer, the Moose Lodge, and the VFW. Survivors include his children, Daniel Blanchard of Manawa, Wisconsin, Dawn (John) Galligher of Enid, Dale Blanchard of Oklahoma City, Allen (Sandy) Campbell of Texarkana, Texas, Laquita Adams of Enid, Carol (T.A.) Olmstead of Enid, Robin Campbell of Enid ;Five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Delmar Blanchard of Enid. Lee was preceded in passing by his parents, both wives, son, David Blanchard, two brothers. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
