Betty graduated from Marland High School in 1955. From a young age, she demonstrated a strong work ethic, contributing faithfully to her family’s business endeavors. Later that same year, the family moved to Tonkawa, Oklahoma, where they owned and operated Reisch Grocery for seventeen years.
In 1972, the family established R & S Packing, which later became known as Tonkawa Meat Processing.
Throughout her life, Betty was involved in several business ventures. She operated the Atlasta Cake and Candy Shop from her home, where she became well known for her custom cakes and candies. She also managed a sandwich shop at Maverick Lanes and was employed in dessert preparation at the Northern Oklahoma College cafeteria.
Betty was known for her servant’s heart and her unwavering devotion to her family. She lovingly cared for her parents in their later years. In the final five years of her life, she dedicated herself to caring for her daughter and son-in-law, expressing her love through her exceptional cooking.
She was a devoted member of her church and cherished her church family. She was often heard leading the call, “Save the Lost at All Cost!” each Sunday morning.
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Glenn and her husband, Rusty Glenn; her granddaughters, Crystal Glenn and her husband, Taylor Shrout, and Julie Garrett and her husband, Michael Garrett; her great-granddaughter, Colette; and her sister-in-law, Mary Schuchman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, Billy Loy Reisch; and two infant sons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tonkawa First Assembly of God Building Fund, 206 N. 2nd, Tonkawa, Oklahoma 74653.
Betty’s life was a testament to her faith in the Lord and her commitment to serving others. She has now gone to her heavenly home and rests in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
