Charles Franklin Williams, 69, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed unexpectedly on April 29, 2025 at his home. Charles was born on July 20, 1955 to Charles Jackson Williams and Geraldine Francis Finley Williams in Wichita, Kansas. Charles was the 5th of 8 children in his family.
Charles loved the Lord and rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized on October 2nd, 2022 at Skiatook First Assembly. He called SFA his home church even after he moved away. Charles never met a stranger and loved unconditionally. He would do anything he could for those in need, even when he had very little himself. Charles was a pure soul in a difficult world.
Charles loved to tell stories of the many things he had done in his lifetime but his favorite stories always involved his family and friends. He worked as a laborer until he was forced to take disability due to his medical issues. Charles dedicated many years of his life caring for his mother until her death in 2021. He loved woodworking and made many treasures that he shared with his loved ones. His most recent projects included yo-yo's, desktop pen holders and jewelry boxes. The family has raised a generation playing with his rocking horses and doll furniture. He was also known for taking one persons junk and re-purposing it into his many different projects. He spend a lot of time bank fishing for catfish at night.
Charles was proceeded in death by his parents, Geralding Francis (Finley) Arnold and Charles Jackson Williams, siblings Judy Alice (Williams) Laluk, Lenard Newton Williams, Kathy Jean (Williams) Nelson, Vicki Lynn (Arnold) Huston, Jimmie Lee Arnold.
He is survived by sisters, Caroline Williams Armstrong of Wichita, KS and LaVeta (Terry) Arnold Bowker of Hominy, OK, Nephews, Anthony (Faye) Laluk, Philip (Jennifer) Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Terrie Arnold, Steven (Sandi) Corn, Tyrell (Tiffini) Bowker and Jared (Ashley) Bowker and nieces Jennifer Laluk, Roseanna (Kelly) Gosvener, and Tanya Schroeder,.
Graveside services will be Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at 10:00 am at Mulvane Cemetery, 119th & Greenwich, Mulvane, Kansas
