Danella (Dinky) Carole Smith

Danella (Dinky) Carole Smith was born in Bartlesville, OK Aug. 9, 1943 and passed peacefully in her home in Enid on Jan. 11, 2025.

Dinky, as she was known to family & friends, led a full life as a loving mother to Jessica & Gannon and a good wife to Bert.

As a young woman, Dinky attended beauty college in Clinton, OK then moved to Enid to attend nursing school at Bass Hospital.  She cut hair to pay for nursing school, graduated and began her career as an RN.  It was while in nursing school she met her husband, Bert Willis Smith, and they were married Apr 19, 1968 and began their life together, raising their 2 children.

After their children had grown, Dinky returned to work at Integris and retired in 2011 after 40 years of service.  In her later years Dinky enjoyed her family, her friendships and her church and her dog, Bubbles.  Christ was always at the forefront of her life.  

Dinky was proceeded in death by her parents, Maxine & Dick Robinson, her brother Darell, and her son, B.W. Gannon Smith.

She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Bert, her daughter Jessica and husband John, 2 siblings and spouses, and many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dinky's name to Garland Road Baptist Church or Complete OK Home Hospice Health.

*Celebration of life services for Dinky will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Garland Road Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Benson officiating.  Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
