Graveside services for David Ray Reynolds, 77, Blackwell resident, will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 1, 2021 in the Blackwell Cemetery with Pastor Tom Howard officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Silver Talon Honor Guard, stationed at Vance Air Force Base. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. David was born on August 15, 1943 in Walters, Oklahoma, the son of Melton and Mamie (Barnes) Reynolds, and passed away suddenly on February 23, 2021 in Blackwell. He moved to Blackwell with his family in 1945. David attended the Blackwell School System, graduating from Blackwell High School with the class of 1961. He served in the United States Air Force, later moving back to Blackwell. David worked for the Blackwell Fire Department, retiring in 1965 with rank of Deputy Chief. He worked for the American Legion, where he was commissioned as their finance officer and kept their books. David was also an electrician. After the legion closed, he retired. David was a member of the Order of Moose, and the Elks Lodge. David is survived by his niece, Dr. Brenda (and husband, Dr. Brian) Hooper of Edmond; great nieces, Robin Hannah of Edmond, Alissa Emery of Nardin, Oklahoma; great-nephews, Matt Miller of Nardin, Mark Miller of Braman, Oklahoma, Ryan Hooper of Edmond, Brad Hooper of Edmond; several great-great nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
