Delmar Edmisson Obituary

Delmer " Bud" Edmisson , 78, of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Stillwater Medical Hospital, Blackwell Oklahoma.

The son of Robert and Beulah Edmisson, Delmer Dean Edmisson was born at the crack of dawn, September 3, 1942, in Great Bend, Kansas. Bud was raised in Johnson, Kansas. He attended school in Johnson, graduating with the Class of 1960. Bud enjoyed participating in football, basketball, and running in track. After high school, Bud attended Southwestern and finished in Wichita earning a degree in drafting.

His drafting degree enabled him to work in the field of tillage tool design. His designs were awarded many patents. Thru the years, he also travelled abroad promoting his tool designs. Bud retired after working for Shields Manufacturing in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Bud's love of homemade bread and butter began as a tike in his grandmother's kitchen. His wife Jo continued the tradition for 33 years by making him butter with a little bit of bread. Anyone who knew Bud knew that he loved Nascar and pizza. Bud loved to laugh and joke with family and friends. His quick wit would keep them laughing for days. His kids enjoyed trips to the lake to camp, boat, and fish.

Bud and his boys were basketball fans thru and thru. There would passionately voice about who was going to finals.

Bud's life cannot be contained in a handful of paragraphs. He truly ran his race, he has won his victor’s crown.

Bud was preceeded in death by his parents Robert and Beulah (Salmans) Edmisson along with one grandson, Corbin Dean Edmisson.
