A graveside service for Jack Mackie will be held at 9:00 am, on Friday, June 26, 2026 , at Ames Cemetery in Ames, OK. Following the service will be a gathering at the Ames Civic Center, 106 E. Corporate Drive, Ames,Ok 73718 for all who want to attend.
Jack was born on October 14, 1956 in Ames, Oklahoma to Harold and June Mackie. Jack was a dedicated roofing worker; a man with a pure heart; a quiet man with very few words, but a consoling personality, and a friend to all who met him!
May 26, 1987 Jack moved from Ames Oklahoma to Enid Oklahoma and started working at Enid State School as a health aid until the day he retired. In May 1987, he married Sherry Cantrell-Mackie and became a stepfather to her two sons: Stacy Cantrell, and Brian Cantrell. Then on April 7, 1989 he became a father to his daughter Heather L. Mackie. In June 1992, he then separated from Sherry, but kept his responsibilities of providing for his daughter with love and memories.
He then met and married Jackalynn Williams, who had three daughters and one son of her own. Then later had 12 grandkids and four great grandkids.
Jack is survived by brothers; Bert Mackie and wife (Janice) of Enid, Bob Mackie and wife (Tommie) of Ames; sister, Beverly Bierig and spouse (Joe) of Okeene. Along with nieces and nephews ; grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Harold and June Mackie
