Kathryn Hays Obituary

Viewing services for Kathryn Hays, 86, will be held from 9am-5pm on Monday, May 1st & Tuesday, May 2nd,

2023, in the Stittsworth Funeral Services Chapel. Katie was born August 8, 1936, to Sylvester & Margaret

Doughty in Trimble, Ohio, and passed away peacefully April 28, 2023, at her home in Enid, Okla., surrounded

by family. She fought a lengthy battle of breast cancer. A private family graveside service will be held at the

Enid Cemetery, at a later date.

Katie attended schools in Glouster, Ohio. She worked over 35 years cleaning for both commercial and

residential customers. She served as a homemaker and worked as a bus driver attendant at Waukomis

Schools and had numerous other skills.


he loved spending time with family, friends, and her loving dog, KatLee. She enjoyed baking, gardening,

going to casinoes and telling childhood stories.

Katie knew she was greatly loved by her family. She is survived by her children, Allan (JD) Davenport of

Sasakwa, Okla., Michael Davenport of Chicago, Illnois, and Dennis Davenport, Johnny Davenport (Tina),

Kathy Semmel (Terry), Steven Davenport (Lane), all of Enid; 11 grandchildren, Brittany Martinez of Yukon,

Tabitha Davenport of Enid, Lindsey Davenport of OKC, Julie Carson of Montana, Conner Davenport and Katie

Davenport of Illnois, Dawn Davenport, Katrina Davenport, Johnny Davenport III, all of Ohio, Dustin

Davenport of Arizona, Annamarie Davenport of Tennessee; 3 step grandchildren Jessica Miller, Joshua

Holland, Tara Robles; 34 great-grandchildren; her brother, Paul Doughty of Ohio and sister, Joan Fakinoes of

Arizona, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernie Hays, 7 brothers and 3 sisters, daughter Nancy Ann

Seely and granddaughter, Tisha Davenport.

he family would like to thank Hospice Circle of Love and staff at Dr. Nabi's Office for caring for her. In

lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
