He was called by the Lord on Oct 3, 2025 for everlasting peace. For those whom knew him, well he was known as Ken, Dad, or to the grand kids he was known as Poppie or “the man who wears short shorts.” Many knew him because he never met a stranger, and befriended everyone he met. He was born in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, to Larry Freeman Sr. and Janith Alford May,8th,1960. He graduated high school and did some college. He then moved to Enid, Oklahoma to work in the oil field during the oil boom in the 80s. He then moved around for a couple of years. He then settled in Cahokia, IL. He worked for TCI Communications as a supervisor for the next 30 years. He went back to Kansas to care for his dad (Grandpa Freeman). He spent the remainder of his retirement with friends and enjoying his grand kids. He had an excellent sense of humor, confidence, and was the life of the party. The last 4 months of his life he moved back to Enid, Oklahoma to be near family. He found enjoyment taking his kids on family and camping trips. He was an amazing father. A great provider for his kids. He had four amazing successful kids as he put it, Chris and Andrea Freeman and their children Allee and Callie, Chris Gilbert, his two sons Sheldon and Logan, Dawn and Tim Brown four children Timothy Jr., Nevaeh, Payton, and Izzabella, and the baby Jesse and Kayla Freeman and their three children Rylen, Layken, and Stella. He is proceed in death by his mom (Jan), dad (Larry Sr.), brother (Larry Jr.), sister (Kim), and grandmother (Hertha). Patty is his only surviving sister. He will be loved and missed by all. He will be joining an amazing circle of guardian angels whom we all will be blessed to have him and watching over us. Don’t party to hard without us. We love you dearly.
