Martin "Marty" Vinyard

Martin “Marty” Vinyard of Ponca City went quickly and unexpectedly to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 after a brief illness.

Born to O.F. and Mary Ann Vinyard on June 13, 1954, Marty was a lifelong resident of Ponca City, graduating from PO HI in 1972. In his early years he enjoyed hanging siding for Cliff Kay then found the job he loved at Oklahoma Natural Gas where he worked until his medical retirement. He made many longtime friends there and loved what he did. Marty was also a lifetime member of Central Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by father “Red” Vinyard, mother Mary Ann (Long) Vinyard, and brother-in-law Kim Acton. Left to cherish his memory are his sister Martha Acton of Ponca City, OK, brother Mike Vinyard and wife Diane of Olathe, KS, numerous cousins and daughters Rachael & Emily Vinyard.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday at IOOF Cemetery with Pastor John Waterloo officiating.  Services are  under the direction of Stittsworth Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Central Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
