Metta Marie (Todd) Coughran

Metta Marie Coughran (Todd), 81, of Enid, passed away August 7, 2024 in Enid, OK. Viewing will be held at Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held at Central Assembly of God on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 10:30am with Reverend Josh Cosby officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Metta was born on May 22, 1943 to Orval and Bertha Todd (McDermott) in Enid, OK. Metta married J.W. Coughran on August 30, 1963 and had two daughters, Sylvia and Patricia. Metta and JW made their home in Enid where she was a homemaker. She was always active in her church in various ways, from making noodles to leading women’s prayer groups. Throughout the years she had numerous close friends that she valued dearly, with who she would often host game nights with at her home. Many of us are where we are today because of the faithfulness of our praying mom, grandma, great grandma and friend. Her family is her testimony and we hope to carry her legacy of faithfulness with us until we’re reunited one day on the streets of gold.

Metta was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Bertha Todd; two siblings, Cecil Todd and Katherine Stark; and daughter, Sylvia McMullen. She is survived by husband, J.W., daughter, Patricia, grandkids Tyler, Matthew, Jessica and David, great grandkids Marisha, Tyson, Ta’Siana, Ta’Sean, Shy, Timbo, Bear and Jasper, and siblings Rose and Charlie, along many others and friends who will always remember her love.
