Patricia Mickelson Obituary

Patricia Ann Mickelson, 81, peacefully passed away on June 19, 2025, at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma with family surrounding her and loved ones all over the states in spirit. She was born December 29, 1943, in the small town of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Patricia, known lovingly as “Pat,” was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived a life full of simple joys and strong love. She completed high school and worked as a convenience store manager while raising her family - a role she embraced with grace, grit, and a great sense of humor.

She had always made sure that everyone ate well and had their favorites, along with sewing and patching up any holes in clothes that needed to be fixed.

She had a deep love for gardening, traveling, and cooking; her caramels and home made gravy are already missed. Pat lived throughout Oklahoma and Minnesota over the years, always making any house feel like home.

Pat’s greatest joy came from her family. She was the beloved wife of the late James Mickelson, and the devoted mother of Richard Mickelson and Lori Lewis, and mother-in-law to Rick Lewis, whom she loved dearly. She was the proud daughter of the late Pierce and Laura Lamb.

She was a doting grandmother to Camber Carrasco and Bethany Wilhelm, and cherished her grandsons-in-law, Jesse Wilhelm and Thomas Carrasco. She was a loving great-grandmother to Hayden, Hunter, Trinton, and Landon - always ready with a hug, a laugh, and chocolates.

Aunt Pat to many nieces and nephews across the states, who she adored, from her 2 sisters, Judy and Linda, and brother, Bruce, that she thought of very often. She also remained close to the nieces and nephews on the Mickelson side as they were always considered family.

She always talked about her happy place in a field in Minnesota with cows and hay bales, she is there now running around and watching over all of her family to keep telling everyone what and what not to do.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Arrangements are being handled by Stittsworth Funeral Services. A memorial service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at a later date.
