Paul David Pankey

Paul David Pankey passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on 08/09/2025. Paul was born in Peoria, IL

on March 9,1938. He grew up in the Rockford, IL. His junior and senior years of high school he

attended Miltonville Wesley Academy Junior College and Theology at Miltonville, KS. After

graduating in 1956, Paul entered the US Air Force in 1957 to 1960. He furthered his education

graduating from the Colorado School of Banking. He had a long and productive banking career. Paul

was well-known and respected by the banking community and his clients. He retired as Executive Vice

President at the Hooker National Bank.

Paul met Margaret Ann Ernst their junior year at Miltonvale. They were married March 26,1960 when

Paul was on leave for a month from the Air Force. They were blessed with two children: a daughter

Paula Ann Wood from Bethel Springs, TN and a son Kevin Scott Pankey from Ponca City, OK.

Paul and Ann were active members of the Wesleyan Church until moving to Independence, KS. There

they became members of the Independence Church of the Nazarene. Paul served on the Church board

for several years. They have been active members of the Ponca City Church of the Nazarene since

2009.

Paul is proceeded in death by his mother Ruth Graves, one sister Madeline and 2 brothers Clarence

(Rick) and Walter (Walt). Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years. Ann and his two children Paula

Wood of Bethel Springs, TN and Kevin Pankey of Ponca City, OK and one grand child David Pankey

of Overland Parks, KS and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
