Rosa Turner Obituary

Rosa Lorine Turner
December 3, 1945 – December 12, 2024
A Celebration of life for Rosa Lorine Turner, age 79, of Garber Oklahoma, will be held Friday
December 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Amy Stittsworth Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest
at the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the tender guidance of the Amy Stittsworth
Funeral Service.
Lorine was born December 3, 1945, in Post Texas, and passed away on December 12, 2024
at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid Oklahoma. Lorine was the 4th of 10 children
born to Lawrence and Syble Hall. She grew up in Texas and Arizona, moving frequently as a
child. Lorine met John when she was 16 years of age at her church. John told her brother
Larry that she was his first girlfriend, and he was going to marry that girl. She married John
Lee Turner on October 21, 1961, in Texarkana, Texas. They resided in Texas for many years
and then settled in Oklahoma, moving to Garber many years ago. Three children were born
of this union, John, Lora and Jennifer Turner. Lorine became a fulltime mom and was a
dedicated and loving wife to John. While she loved her children, her greatest joy was
becoming a grandma to Jerry, Shelby and Isabel. They were her pride and joy, she was later
blessed by two great granddaughters and two great grandsons.
When you think of someone being tough, courageous, strong, and trustworthy, Lorine is
who comes to mind. She was all those things and more. She was always willing to help
someone out if she knew they were in need. Lorine had a very giving heart, and she opened
her home many times for family members that needed a place to call home. She truly never
met a stranger she loved to visit and had a “gift for gab.” If she had something to say and
she thought you weren’t listening she’d just talk a little louder or say it again so most people
learned to listen the first time.
Lorine loved family history and when she was physically able, she would sit for hours at her

computer researching family history connections, passing on that love for history to her
daughter Jenny.
She is survived by her son John L. Turner of Enid, daughter Lora and Husband Andrew
Loveland of Ark., and daughter Jennifer Turner of Enid.
Grandchildren, Jerry and Cheryll Turner, Shelby and William Butler, Isabel Olsen, Great
Grandchildren Evelyn, Eden, Aiden and Lincoln all of Enid.
Two brothers, Larry and Katy Hall of Globe Az., Travis and Leann Hall of Newberry Springs,
California.
Two sisters, Stella D’Agostino of Culver City, California and Sunny Morris of Lahoma, Ok.
Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, Aunts and Uncles and many good friends.
She was proceeded in death by her husband John, her parents Lawrence & Syble Hall, In-
laws, John Henry and Doris Turner, Brothers Nathan, Thomas and Marion Hall, Sisters Edris
McGaffee and Mary Brincefield.
Sister in laws, Joan Hull and Sharron J. Turner, Nedra Sue and brother in laws, Jerry Turner,
Ronald L. Turner, Lewis McGaffee, Richard Brincefield, and Kevin Morris.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Baptist Village Rehab Center and also at St.
Mary’s Regional Center for the love and care they showed Lorine in the last few weeks of
her time here with us.
