SUZETTE MARIE (LITTON) SLAYMAKER

Memorial services for Suzette (Litton) Slaymaker will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 12,

2025 at Stittsworth Funeral Home Chapel, Enid with Rev. Dwayne Schroeder of Redeemer

Lutheran church officiating.

Suzette died August 5, 2025 at her home. She was born February 24, 1953 in Texas to James and

Suzanne Litton.

Suzette graduated from high school in Texas and later moved to Oklahoma where She married

and had a daughter, Melanie and a son, Josh.

Suzette was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church where she enjoyed the programs and

the choir.

Later, as a single mother, Suzette met Kerry Slaymaker. They were married in January 1991,

when Suzette also became a mother for infant Stephen Slaymaker. She played a vital role in

raising Stephen alongside Kerry which She did with unconditional love and lasting support

through her entire life.

Suzette was a teacher's aide for the Special Education program at Enid Public School District.

Due to health reasons, she retired early from the education community.

Suzette always enjoyed her music and singing in the church choir. Later in life, she was filled

with the love and joy of watching her grandchildren and the great grandchildren grow.

Suzette was preceded in death by her mother, Suzanne Litton. She is survived by her husband,

Kerry; father, James Litton of Texas; daughter, Melanie Smith; sons, Josh Smith and Stephen (Shannon) Slaymaker; 5

grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Blake (Jackie) Litton of Tennessee, three

sisters, Renee Litton of Florida, Colette (Robert) Buenrostro of Texas and Kimberly Peck of

Oklahoma. Many nieces and nephews.
