Tammy Jordan Obituary

Tammy June Grimes Jordan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 67. She was born on July 3, 1958, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Lora Lampe Kaechle and Fred Grimes. She was lovingly raised by Evelyn and Fred Grimes and remained a proud lifelong resident of Ponca City. She attended Ponca City Public Schools and made many lifelong friends and memories there.

At a young age, Tammy began working at Dairy Queen, where, at just 16 years old, she met the love of her life, Terry Jordan. From that day on, they were inseparable. Tammy and Terry were married for 48 beautiful years, building a life full of love, laughter, and family.

Together, Tammy and Terry built a beautiful life, raising four children: Tara (Vincent) Perez, Tracie (Robert) Thomason, Travis (Tracy) Jordan, and Tiffany Jordan (Michael Milton), along with their bonus son, Jason Lyon. Her greatest joy came from being “Mom” and “Grammy,” and she cherished every moment spent with her growing family.

Tammy’s grandchildren brought her endless happiness: Lee (Remy) St. Clair, Wyatt (Kylie) Dowler, Antonio (Aliayah) Perez, Adrian Perez, Alejandro (Hondo) Perez, Tucker Jordan, Danika McNamara, Racelynn McNamara, Damon Arnold, Colton Parker, Ryleigh Griffith, Landen Griffith, and Brystle McNamara. She was also blessed with four great-granddaughters: Rylan Parker, Arya Perez, Zeya Jordan, and Kolette Dowler.

Tammy had a deep love for her dogs — Tally, Diesel, and Izzy — and would often joke (maybe not joking!) that she liked them more than her kids. They were her pride and joy and rarely left her side.

She worked for several years at the Child Development Center, where her nurturing heart impacted countless young lives. She later went on to work at Mertz, where she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

She found joy in trips to the casino, cheering at the races, four-wheeling through the countryside, and traveling to new places. But nothing made her happier than being with her family. Whether she was in the stands at her grandkids’ football, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball games—or watching them perform in band or orchestra—Tammy was their biggest fan.She adored her grandkids, great-grandkids, and her dogs, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love for family and adventure was matched only by her infectious laughter and the warmth of her heart.

She is survived by her  loving  husband, Terry Jordan; her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved dogs. She also leaves behind her siblings: Sherry (Larry) Rackliff, Rusty (Lisa) Ellis, Billy (Kandi) Grimes, Andy Grimes, Daniel (Jessica) Grimes, Kristi Pursley, Bryan Rackliff, and Timothy Kaechle; her sister-in-laws, Sheila Mackey; Deanna Raulston and numerous nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart.

Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Lora Kaechle; her father, Fred Grimes; her mom, Evelyn Grimes; and her brothers, Albert and Wesley Grimes.

She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her sense of humor, and her fierce devotion to her family. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched, and her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

Tammy's viewing will be at NewPoint Church in Ponca City, Oklahoma at 2 pm. Her service is at 4 pm at NewPoint. The family is gathered at 8560 Buffalo Drive, Ponca City, OK.
