Tommy Gann Obituary

Tommy Roy Gann, attorney at law, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at the age of seventy-nine in Tulsa, Ok.
Tom was born on November 21,1944, in Tulsa, OK, to Leo Roy Gann and Norma Lenore Gann. He was a proud resident of West Tulsa, OK and
was a 1963 graduate of Webster High School. He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater while walking onto the OSU baseball team.
He participated in Air Force ROTC for all four years while graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Political Science. Upon leaving OSU he attended
the University of Tulsa Law School, graduating in 1970 with a Juris Doctorate Law Degree. After moving on from Tulsa University, Tom entered into the United
States Air Force and was selected as one of the four members of Shaw AFB 1132nd USAF Field Extension Squadron in 1972. His responsibilities
included managing military trials on a travelling JAG team as lead counsel. In 1973 he was selected to attend the University of Virginia Law school
where he received his judgeship. He served honorably for 7 years attaining the rank of Major, while traveling from North and South Carolina to South
East Asia, Puerto Rico, and the Panama Canal Zone. Tom married Kay Gann on August 19, 1989, in Eureka Springs, AR.
During his many years of private practice in litigation, he represented the  Tulsa Airport Authority, served as the City Prosecutor of Bixby, and
represented the Oklahoma Department of Transportation along with various clients. Tom was a devoted father spending time with his boys. He loved
coaching soccer & basketball along with hunting & fishing. He also loved his Oklahoma State University Cowboys and enjoyed cheering them on in
Boone Pickens Stadium at football games & basketball games. He enjoyed many fishing trips with his family to Port Aransas, TX along with his lake
home of 23 years on Grand Lake. Tom will be missed by his wife, Kay Gann, his sons Jimmie and
Timothy, their wives Beth and Whitney Gann and granddaughters Caitlin,Jordan and Charlotte and great grandson Joshia.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 7th at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary located at 1347 E. 49th Place, Tulsa, OK 74105.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church of St. Mary, a cause close to Tom’s heart.
