Sending our thoughts/prayers/love to all the family. Uncle Chief was a wonderful person and had the greatest sense of humor which is something I will always cherish and never forget. He was always willing to listen and pray for all of us when we needed strength and encouragement and for this I will always be grateful. I can already imagine Uncle and our father Levi joking around and enjoying each other's company along with their other loved ones in heaven. Love to all the family!!!

Hi Guy,
Sorry to hear of Chestine's passing. It's been several years since Chestine attended one of our alumni activities. I think it was the 2003 picnic in Kenwood Ok. He was on his way from Cleveland to Las Vegas to visit his son soon after his wife's passing. There are still quite a few that remember Chestine from his time at Sequoyah. If you could let me know when a memorial is planned, I could post a notice on the alumni homepage. "sequoyahalumni.net"
We'll post his obit on our webpage. If you or the family would like to update or expand the one posted on the funeral home's webpage we will update it. I know that he had a brother, Levi, (Seq. Class of 1955) but there was a 3rd grade girl in 1947, Frances Keener, any kin?

Thanks,
Charles Cochran ~ Seq. Class of 1960
