Marvin Eugene Haun. Gene was born Jaunuary 15, 1939 in Oklahoma City to Ted Haun and Mildred Irons. He was raised in Ponca City by his grandparents Bill and Mary Nelson.  He attended Uncus school until 8th grade and then Ponca City High School. Gene was employed by the City of Ponca City as a watch engineer at the power plant until 1980, then began a new journey with his spouse,  Linda inspecting power plants across the United States, he then started working at Keys School as a janitor and a bus driver. Gene enjoyed his time at the school, he made many friends throughout his time there. Him and wife Linda were residents of Ponca City at the time of his passing. Gene enjoyed many hobbies including riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and camping at Roaring River State Park in Missouri.  He is preceded in death by His mother and father, Grandma and Grandpa Nelson, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and two sons. Survived by wife Linda of Ponca City, His son Rod and wife Debi of Newkirk, His son Rocky of Ponca City, and 3 grand children,Rowdy and wife Cinae of Sandiego, Brooke of Ponca City, and Alicia of Ponca City, 3 great grand children Hunter and Carson Brave of Ponca City, and Ryder Pameticky of Sandiego. Memorial services for Gene will be on December 2nd, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.  at the Osage Heights Baptist Church in Ponca City, Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
